Preventive Dentistry

Preventive care is the most important work we do at Al Ain Oasis. Preventive care is about stopping problems before they happen. We want to teach you and show you how to do this. Your oral health is important to your overall health. With proper knowledge, and biannual checkups, we can save you time, money and pain. Let us prevent problems from growing and show you how your oral health is doing. At Al Ain Oasis Dental Center our dentists will provide comprehensive care for your oral health. We offer many services for preventative care.

Professional Dental Cleanings
Professional cleanings performed by our Al Ain Oasis Dental Center team are just as important to your dental health as daily brushing and flossing.

Dental Examinations
Regular exams with our dentists help us detect and prevent health issues before they become serious. We check for problems including:

  • Tooth decay
  • Gum disease
  • Gum pocket measurement
  • Oral cancer

Gum Disease
Gum disease, sometimes referred to as Periodontal Disease, kills teeth, and it accounts for about 70% of all tooth loss in adults. Do you have early signs of gum disease? Are your gums bleeding when flossing or brushing? Are they red or inflamed? Visit our clinic and be free.

Dental X-Rays

Radiographs, or x-rays, are a very important tool that we have to see what cannot be seen with the naked eye. At Al Ain Oasis Dentistry, our dental team uses digital x-rays which have several advantages over traditional film-based x-rays.

Preventive care is the most important work we do at Al Ain Oasis.

Restorative dentistry is to bring back your teeth to their functional use after the damage of tooth decay.

Restorative Dentistry

The goal of restorative dentistry is to bring back your teeth to their functional use after the damage of tooth decay. By replacing or restoring your teeth, we help bring your mouth back to health. Tooth decay is a form of infection in your mouth. You would treat an infection in any other part of your body, and your teeth are just as important. We want them to last you a lifetime.

At Al Ain Oasis Dentistry, we offer dental treatments for our patients by determining the extent of decay, where it is located, and whether nearby teeth are also affected. We offer small treatments like fillings and porcelain crowns to larger treatments like root canals, bridges or even implants. Our dentists will help you from beginning to end, giving you a strong and healthy mouth.

Dental Fillings

Dental Fillings are a common restoration. The Center for Disease Control stated in 2002 that by age 17, 78% of people will have had at least one cavity. Come see us before the problem gets worse.

Dental Crowns

Dental crowns help strengthen a weakened tooth. To save the natural structure that has been severely damaged, we place a crown, which serves as a cap for the tooth.

Root Canal Therapy

When bacteria reaches the pulp of your tooth, we need to clear out the infection. If the infection is allowed to continue, it will destroy the tooth. During root canal treatment, our dentist will completely remove the pulp inside the tooth, clean and disinfect the area, and lastly fill the canal with a rubberlike material called gutta percha and then crown is fixed to restore the appearance of the tooth.

Dental Sealants
Sealants are something you will love. We prevent cavities with sealants in areas that are more susceptible to them by painting a plastic coating onto the teeth.

Dentures
Partial and full dentures are replacement multiple teeth which can dramatically improve your daily life when multiple teeth are missing.

Dental Bridges

Bridges are made to replace a missing tooth with a false tooth that is anchored in place by the two surrounding teeth. Missing teeth can cause teeth shifting, which affects your bite, and bone atrophy, which can give you an older appearance.

Tooth Extractions

Sometimes, tooth extraction may be a necessary step to improve your oral health. Not to worry, though, we offer several solutions that replace missing teeth!

Cosmetic Dentistry

Cosmetic dentistry will give you healthy and radiant teeth. It is one of the most cost-effective ways to improve confidence and to make you want to share your smile.

With state-of-the-art materials, and tested, trusted dental techniques, cosmetic dentistry improves appearance and enhances self-esteem. Composite fillings have replaced traditional silver colored amalgams, while gold has given way to porcelain in the creation of bridges. Other techniques like teeth whitening and veneers can improve the color and/or shape of your natural smile.

Dental Bonding

Dental bonding is composed of a ceramic resin that is brushed onto the tooth and hardened with intense light. Prior to bonding application the tooth surface must be prepared to accept the bonding. This is accomplished by roughening the tooth surface and applying a gel to micro-etch the surface. A primer agent is then applied so the bond will adhere properly. Dental bonding is used for:

  • Repairing tooth decay damage
  • Improving tooth alignment
  • Filling gaps between teeth
  • Cosmetic reasons (improving tooth appearance)

Additionally, dental bonding is cost effective, looks natural and improves tooth shape. Cosmetic dentistry bonding may require replacement due to wear and gradual discoloration over time. For this reason some patients prefer more permanent solutions such as dental crowns, bridges, and porcelain veneers. All these options should be discussed with your dentist.

Porcelain Veneers
Dental veneers are custom crafted porcelain laminates fitted by a dentist over the front of an existing tooth. They bond directly to the front of the tooth, dramatically enhancing its shape, color, and appearance. Porcelain veneers are:

  • Virtually undetectable
  • Very durable
  • An effective way to improve smile appearance

Teeth Whitening
Teeth whitening, as the name implies, is a process for making your smile brighter and more attractive. The many methods of teeth whitening vary widely in application time, effectiveness, cost, and probability of tooth sensitivity.

Porcelain Crowns

Thanks to advances in technology, porcelain has become the preferred material when it comes to cosmetics. Porcelain can be textured and shaped to match the appearance of natural enamel. It also possesses the same light-scattering properties as natural enamel. For these reasons and more, a porcelain crown can be used for both restorative and cosmetic reasons.

Cosmetic dentistry will give you healthy and radiant teeth.

Our dentists will examine you to determine if your wisdom teeth are healthy and properly positioned.

Wisdom Teeth

Wisdom teeth, also referred to as the third molars, get their name by being the last teeth to come in during young adulthood. As part of your regular dental exams, our dentists will examine you to determine if your wisdom teeth are healthy and properly positioned.

Wisdom Teeth Need to Be Removed If You Have the Following Symptoms:

  • Pain
  • Infection
  • Cysts
  • Tumors
  • Damage to adjacent teeth
  • Gum disease

Our specialist, may also recommend removal to prevent problems or for other reasons, such as when removal is part of another treatment plan.

Wisdom teeth that are not removed should continue to be monitored, because they still could potentially cause issues in the future. As with many other health conditions, people are at greater risk for health problems as they age, and that includes potential problems with their wisdom teeth.
